Documentarian and Germany ZDF channel director Andreas Ewels has been invited to attend the 11th edition of the Cinema Verite in Iran.
Ewels, 47, is a German journalist and director, who is especially known for his nature documentaries.
He began his journalistic career at the age of 16 at the Münstersche Zeitung as a reporter and photographer. Later he published articles in various daily newspapers and magazines, and then he switched to radio.
Since 2001 Ewels has been with ZDF. He has worked on some programs for ZDF and made total six episodes of a series of expeditions into the animal kingdom, including an ocean adventure, for the German TV.
Documentaries and films by the German filmmaker have been nominated for numerous festivals as well as awards and received a number of honorable mentions as well as awards.
Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the 11th Cinema Verite is to be held on December 10-17 in Tehran.
The event will be held by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) which is the largest center for production, distribution and promotion of documentary, animated and experimental pictures in the Middle East.
